Managing Partner

Ebenezer Ahulu is the managing partner of AOB & Associates. He has over 20 years of experience which cuts across many industries. He has expertise in Audit and Assurance Services, Strategy formulation and implementation, Business reorganization, Financial Management, Budgeting and Budgetary control, Financial reporting (IFRS compliant) and Building strong internal control systems.

Ebenezer Started his career with Ernst & Young in 2003 before later joining Maersk Line, the world’s biggest shipping company, as a management trainee in 2004. He held many different positions in Maersk including Accountant, Cost Controller, Financial Controller for Africa, and Accounting, Reporting, & Tax Manager. He joined Multichoice in 2009 as country Finance Manager where he was responsible for the finances of both DStv and GOtv. He held this role for 5 years during which he supervised the incorporation and startup of GOtv in Ghana, transformed the finance department by improving the internal controls and the quality of financial reporting for the Ghana operation. He left Multichoice in 2014 to join Internet Solutions as CFO where he led the business planning and fund raising for the construction of fiber infrastructure in Accra. In 2016, at the request of MultiChoice Africa, he rejoined Multichoice as Finance Director responsible for West and Central Africa overseeing over 25 countries in West and Central Africa. In April 2017, he was appointed as CFO for the Southern Africa region of Multichoice Africa, a role he held until June 2019 when he relocated to Ghana and helped formed AOB & Associates.

Ebenezer holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Liverpool, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Diploma in Shipping and Logistics. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, ZiCA.

Alex Okyere

Partner

Alex Okyere is a Partner in charge of Audit & Assurance. He is a results-oriented Finance Professional with over 18 years of finance and accounting experience, responsible for various roles in financial control and reporting; SOx and internal controls; external audits; financial planning and analysis; within multinational companies in Oil and Gas, Mining, and Public Accounting Practice. He has in-depth understanding of Technical Accounting, Internal Controls and the Sarbanes Oxley Act, 2002 with Extensive knowledge of both IFRS and US GAAP.

Alex started his Finance career in public practice; Ernst & Young and later joined PwC in Ghana. He later joined a global mining giant, Newmont Mining Corporation in Ghana in charge of the Compliance function for their Africa region where under his leadership the Africa region consistently had the lowest number of SOx control exceptions within the Newmont group. Alex later moved to Nigeria and joined Schlumberger as Segment Financial Controller responsible for Well Completions (CPS), Artificial Lift (ALS) and Slick line (SLN) Businesses for the NGA Geo-Market (consisting of Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Benin, Togo and remote countries). From Schlumberger, Alex joined Weatherford Nigeria in April 2014 as the Area Financial Controller for West Africa responsible for the overall finance function for Weatherford’s operations in West Africa.

Alex holds an MBA in Finance, a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA, UK, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and a project management professional (PMP-USA)

Florence Ahulu

Senior Manager

Florence Ahulu is a Senior Manager at AOB & Associates with over 15 years of professional experience spanning various industries, including banking, insurance brokerage, logistics, and construction. Her expertise encompasses financial reporting, accounting, budgeting and budgetary control, financial and credit analysis, performance management, and customer relationship management.

Florence began her career as a sales assistant at T-Mark Limited in 2004, where she was involved in the sale and distribution of laboratory equipment and chemicals. After graduating from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2005, she served as a Teaching Assistant in the Zoology department during her national service. In 2006, she joined JILK Company Ltd as an Administrative Officer, managing the day-to-day operations. In 2008, she moved to GT Bank’s retail banking division as an Accounts Officer, where she was promoted to various roles, including Team Leader/Relationship Manager for both retail and commercial banking. Currently, she manages Accounting and Finance for major clients at AOB & Associates.

Florence holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, and is a certified accountant with an ACCA qualification.

Jak Mensah-Vena

Senior Associate

Jak Mensah-Vena is a senior associate in AOB & Associates. He is a proactive and results-driven finance professional with over 7 years of experience spanning diverse industries, he stands out for his unparalleled precision, analytical skills, and expertise in financial reporting, audit, tax and designing & implementing robust internal controls.

Jak’s professional journey began as a Digital Sales Executive at Millicom Ghana (TIGO), his leadership potential was quickly recognized, leading to promotion to Team Leader within just a month. He then moved to Access Bank Ghana PLC as an FT Teller where he was promoted to Team Lead for Tellers and 2nd Deputy to the Branch Service Head, successfully leading his team to position the branch as the premier hub for international fund transfers, Manager’s Cheques, and remittances. Following this, Jak took on the role of Accounts Manager at Overseas Connect Logistics, a startup in the logistics sector, where he was instrumental in establishing the company’s financial operations. He subsequently joined Allianz Life Insurance Ghana Ltd as a Finance Officer, overseeing bank reconciliations, premium collections, and managing receivables and payables. His dedication and expertise led to his promotion to Financial Controller and Deputy to the CFO, managing critical financial functions.

Jak holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and an HND in Accounting from Accra Technical University. He is also currently pursuing further professional qualifications at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.

Agartha Owusu Fosuah

Senior Associate

Agartha Owusu Fosuah is an Associate in AOB & Associates. She has over 5 years of experience which cut across many industries. She is a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Professional with expertise in financial reporting, accounting, Budget reporting, tax and audit.

Agartha commenced her career with the New Juaben Municipal Assembly and later joining the New Juaben Municipal Health Directorate both as an account officer. She later joined Ntrakwah & Co Legal Practitioners and Consultants as an assistant to the firm’s accountant where she was responsible for statutory filings, bank reconciliations and reconciling major local and International clients accounts. She later joined the Domino Project that oversaw the Receivership of 347 Microfinance Companies as a Consultant.

Agartha earned a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra. She is currently in the final level of her professional qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana

Rhoda Amegashitsi

Associate

Rhoda Amegashitsi is an associate of AOB & Associates. She started her career with this highly successful Company as a national service personnel and is currently a permanent staff. She has gained some experience in the accounting and audit field and is increasing in knowledge daily as she serves as an asset to the company.

Rhoda is a detail-oriented accountant and auditor with some experience in financial analysis, budgeting and financial reporting. She also has a strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

Rhoda holds a First Class Honors Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Ghana. She is also currently Chartering as a student with ACCA. She was recently awarded the Prizewinner for Advanced Performance Management (March sitting) in Ghana.

Justice Addae Nuamah

Associate

Justice Addae Nuamah is a skilled young finance professional with a robust background in financial reporting, auditing, and data analysis. His expertise includes supporting business operations through meticulous coordination and strong analytical skills. Prior to his current role at AOB & Associates, he gained valuable experience at the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute. There, he managed expense recording and categorization, prepared detailed financial reports, conducted audits, analysed financial data, and provided strategic recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.

Justice holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration with a specialization in Accounting from the University of Ghana. Additionally, he has a Certificate of Higher Education in Elementary French and Chinese from the Ghana Institute of Languages.

Sewor Elisha Kabutey

Associate

Sewor Elisha Kabutey is a results-driven accounting and finance professional with over five years of progressive experience in auditing, financial reporting, and assurance services. He has a proven track record of supporting organizational growth through strategic financial planning, risk management, and process improvement.

 

Kabutey began his professional journey as an intern at Ada Rural Bank while pursuing his studies at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). After earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, he served as a national service personnel with the All-Africa Students Union, where he worked as an Assistant Accountant, and simultaneously gained customer engagement experience as a tele-sales agent at Vodafone Ghana. His career path further expanded into administration at Eli International School before he advanced into audit and assurance roles.

 

At Okoampah Ernest Asare Company Limited, Kabutey excelled as an Audit Officer, conducting stock audits across multiple regions in Ghana and helping to strengthen internal control systems. He currently serves as a Finance and Assurance Associate at AOB and Associates, where he contributes to financial planning, reporting, and audits, ensuring compliance and driving value for clients.

 

Beyond his corporate career, Kabutey has demonstrated exceptional leadership. As President of the Department of Accounting Students Association at UPSA (2019/2020), he represented and supported over 4,000 accounting students, championing academic and professional development. He also serves as the National Youth President of the First Christian Faith Church, Ghana, where he oversees youth programs at both regional and national levels.

 

With expertise in financial analysis, auditing, and accounting systems (Tally, Sage, Zoho, Xero and GIFMIS), Kabutey blends technical acumen with strong leadership and people-management skills. He is passionate about leveraging his knowledge and experience to deliver value-driven financial solutions, strengthen organizations, and contribute meaningfully to growth and sustainability.

 

Kabutey is based in Accra, Ghana, and aspires to continue advancing in accounting and finance leadership roles, where his skills in financial strategy, risk management, and organizational development can create lasting impact.

David Kpodenu-Dossou

Associate

David Kpodenu-Dossou is an Associate at AOB & Associates, where he leverages a solid foundation in accounting principles alongside hands-on experience in auditing, financial operations, and tax compliance. His career journey reflects a consistent commitment to professional growth, ethical practice, and collaborative problem-solving.

David began his professional path with an Audit Internship at UHY VOSCON, where he executed core audit procedures such as inspection, recalculation, and analytical reviews. He contributed to the preparation of management letters, cited governance provisions from the Companies Act, and worked closely with audit associates to assess control effectiveness through sampling techniques. This experience deepened his understanding of audit documentation and its role in ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

He then transitioned into financial operations as a Finance Intern at AUTOCHEK GHANA, where he reconciled bank and general ledger accounts, streamlined accounts payable processes, and maintained accurate financial records using accounting software. His collaboration with departmental stakeholders to manage operational expenditures showcased his analytical acumen and adaptability.

Following his internships, David completed his national service at DRUGNET, where he managed petty cash, performed daily account reconciliations, processed payments for outsourced services, and assisted with employee tax calculations and filings. His role demanded precision, accountability, and a proactive approach to financial management.

David is a recently qualified Chartered Accountant, with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Sociology from the University of Ghana, equipping him with both technical expertise and a nuanced understanding of social dynamics in organizational settings.

He is proficient in MS Office Suite and Sage and Tally accounting softwares, and is recognized for his ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams, meet tight deadlines, and communicate clearly. His leadership and communication skills have been honed through academic projects and co-curricular initiatives, including tutoring underprivileged pupils to improve literacy.

Oswell Amofa

Associate

Oswell Amofa is a National Service Personnel with a strong background in accounting and taxation. He is a BSc. Accounting graduate from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, where he also earned a Diploma in Accounting with distinction and was recognized as the Best Graduating Student.

Oswell has gained valuable practical experience through internships with insurance firms, tax consultancy firms, and media houses, building his interest in taxation, audit, and financial reporting. He also has media experience, having worked as a sports presenter, commentator, and program host, which enhanced his public speaking and client engagement abilities. He aspires to be a qualified accountant, one of the best tax experts in the profession, dedicated to contributing to corporate growth and national development.

Derek Dela Dzitri

Associate

Derek Dela Dzitri is an associate at AOB & Associates, where he has already begun contributing to the firm’s reputation for excellence in accounting and auditing. With a growing interest in financial reporting, compliance, and internal control processes, Derek is steadily developing expertise while bringing a fresh perspective to the team.

Derek is committed to building strong foundations in financial analysis, audit procedures, and the application of accounting standards.

Derek holds a Degree in Accounting and is passionate about continuous learning and professional development. With a goal of pursuing an advanced professional qualification with the ICAG, Derek aspires to contribute meaningfully to client engagements while growing into a well-rounded accounting and audit professional.

Jacob Mensah Opoku

Associate

Jacob Mensah Opoku is an Associate at AOB & Associates. He has two years of professional experience which cuts across various industries like the Media, Banking and Hospitality. He has expertise in financial reporting, accounting, and customer relationship management.

Jacob’s career begun as a Client service intern at Multimedia Group Ltd (Nhyira/Luv FM) in 2022. He later joined Societe Generale Ghana as a National Service Person after graduating from the university from 2023 to 2024. In 2025, he worked as an Accounts officer for Noks Hotel Ltd in Kumasi before moving to AOB and Associates.

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting)from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Josephine Nyampong

Associate

Josephine is an Associate at AOB & Associates, where she supports clients with audits, payroll, tax filings, and financial reporting. She holds a BSc. in Accounting from the University of Ghana and is currently advancing her professional training with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).

Before joining AOB, Josephine worked with the British Council, where she gained valuable experience managing finance operations across multiple West African countries. She enjoys using her skills in accounting systems and process improvement to help organizations stay compliant and financially sound.

Passionate about continuous learning, Josephine combines technical knowledge with a collaborative approach, making her a dependable member of the AOB team and a committed partner to clients.

Nora Darko Addo Akua

Associate

Nora Darko Addo Akua is a finance professional with a growing background in accounting, auditing, and financial consulting. She currently works with AOB & Associates, where she supports client engagements in Accounting , financial reporting, and audit support. Known for her analytical and solutions-focused approach, she contributes to strengthening internal controls and ensuring accurate financial processes.

Prior to her current role, Nora gained experience in procurement and financial operations at Alisa Hotel, where she worked on vendor audits, cost control, and compliance. She also served as a Financial Consultant with Prudential Life Insurance Ghana. Earlier in her career, she supported data analysis and research initiatives at the Bureau of Market and Social Research.

Nora holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and is currently pursuing the ACCA qualification (Level 2) with an interest in auditing and regulatory compliance..

Samuel Boakye

Associate

Samuel Boakye is an Associate at the firm. His professional career began with the Ghana Audit Service, where he completed his National Service. He later joined Allianz Insurance Ghana as an Accounts Officer, gaining valuable experience in financial reporting and operational finance over two years.

Samuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Ghana and is currently at the final level of qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). He brings strong analytical and technical skills to his role, contributing to the firm’s commitment to excellence.
