Ebenezer Ahulu is the managing partner of AOB & Associates. He has over 20 years of experience which cuts across many industries. He has expertise in Audit and Assurance Services, Strategy formulation and implementation, Business reorganization, Financial Management, Budgeting and Budgetary control, Financial reporting (IFRS compliant) and Building strong internal control systems.
Ebenezer Started his career with Ernst & Young in 2003 before later joining Maersk Line, the world’s biggest shipping company, as a management trainee in 2004. He held many different positions in Maersk including Accountant, Cost Controller, Financial Controller for Africa, and Accounting, Reporting, & Tax Manager. He joined Multichoice in 2009 as country Finance Manager where he was responsible for the finances of both DStv and GOtv. He held this role for 5 years during which he supervised the incorporation and startup of GOtv in Ghana, transformed the finance department by improving the internal controls and the quality of financial reporting for the Ghana operation. He left Multichoice in 2014 to join Internet Solutions as CFO where he led the business planning and fund raising for the construction of fiber infrastructure in Accra. In 2016, at the request of MultiChoice Africa, he rejoined Multichoice as Finance Director responsible for West and Central Africa overseeing over 25 countries in West and Central Africa. In April 2017, he was appointed as CFO for the Southern Africa region of Multichoice Africa, a role he held until June 2019 when he relocated to Ghana and helped formed AOB & Associates.
Ebenezer holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Liverpool, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Diploma in Shipping and Logistics. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, ZiCA.
Alex is a Partner in charge of Audit & Assurance. He is a results-oriented Finance Professional with over 18 years of finance and accounting experience, responsible for various roles in financial control and reporting; SOx and internal controls; external audits; financial planning and analysis; within multinational companies in Oil and Gas, Mining, and Public Accounting Practice. He has in-depth understanding of Technical Accounting, Internal Controls and the Sarbanes Oxley Act, 2002 with Extensive knowledge of both IFRS and US GAAP.
Alex started his Finance career in public practice; Ernst & Young and later joined PwC in Ghana. He later joined a global mining giant, Newmont Mining Corporation in Ghana in charge of the Compliance function for their Africa region where under his leadership the Africa region consistently had the lowest number of SOx control exceptions within the Newmont group. Alex later moved to Nigeria and joined Schlumberger as Segment Financial Controller responsible for Well Completions (CPS), Artificial Lift (ALS) and Slick line (SLN) Businesses for the NGA Geo-Market (consisting of Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Benin, Togo and remote countries). From Schlumberger, Alex joined Weatherford Nigeria in April 2014 as the Area Financial Controller for West Africa responsible for the overall finance function for Weatherford’s operations in West Africa.
Alex holds an MBA in Finance, a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA, UK, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and a project management professional (PMP-USA)
Florence Hagan is a Senior Manager at AOB & Associates with over 15 years of professional experience spanning various industries, including banking, insurance brokerage, logistics, and construction. Her expertise encompasses financial reporting, accounting, budgeting and budgetary control, financial and credit analysis, performance management, and customer relationship management.
Florence began her career as a sales assistant at T-Mark Limited in 2004, where she was involved in the sale and distribution of laboratory equipment and chemicals. After graduating from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2005, she served as a Teaching Assistant in the Zoology department during her national service. In 2006, she joined JILK Company Ltd as an Administrative Officer, managing the day-to-day operations. In 2008, she moved to GT Bank’s retail banking division as an Accounts Officer, where she was promoted to various roles, including Team Leader/Relationship Manager for both retail and commercial banking. Currently, she manages Accounting and Finance for major clients at AOB & Associates.
Florence holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, and is a certified accountant with an ACCA qualification.
Jak Mensah-Vena is a senior associate in AOB & Associates. He is a proactive and results-driven finance professional with over 7 years of experience spanning diverse industries, he stands out for his unparalleled precision, analytical skills, and expertise in financial reporting, audit, tax and designing & implementing robust internal controls.
Jak’s professional journey began as a Digital Sales Executive at Millicom Ghana (TIGO), his leadership potential was quickly recognized, leading to promotion to Team Leader within just a month. He then moved to Access Bank Ghana PLC as an FT Teller where he was promoted to Team Lead for Tellers and 2nd Deputy to the Branch Service Head, successfully leading his team to position the branch as the premier hub for international fund transfers, Manager’s Cheques, and remittances. Following this, Jak took on the role of Accounts Manager at Overseas Connect Logistics, a startup in the logistics sector, where he was instrumental in establishing the company’s financial operations. He subsequently joined Allianz Life Insurance Ghana Ltd as a Finance Officer, overseeing bank reconciliations, premium collections, and managing receivables and payables. His dedication and expertise led to his promotion to Financial Controller and Deputy to the CFO, managing critical financial functions.
Jak holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and an HND in Accounting from Accra Technical University. He is also currently pursuing further professional qualifications at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
Agartha Owusu Fosuah is an Associate in AOB & Associates. She has over 5 years of experience which cut across many industries. She is a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Professional with expertise in financial reporting, accounting, Budget reporting, tax and audit.
Agartha commenced her career with the New Juaben Municipal Assembly and later joining the New Juaben Municipal Health Directorate both as an account officer. She later joined Ntrakwah & Co Legal Practitioners and Consultants as an assistant to the firm’s accountant where she was responsible for statutory filings, bank reconciliations and reconciling major local and International clients accounts. She later joined the Domino Project that oversaw the Receivership of 347 Microfinance Companies as a Consultant.
Agartha earned a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra. She is currently in the final level of her professional qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana
Anita Enyonam Adu is an Associate of AOB & Associates. She is a detailed and goal-oriented individual who takes initiative in various situations. She has 3 years of experience in the field of accounting, auditing and taxation.
Anita started her career with Harry Richardson Consult in 2021 as an intern while she was still pursuing her professional career at the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana. After completion in August 2022, she joined AOB & Associates assisting to attend to the accounting and auditing needs of various clients. At AOB & Associates, she also had the opportunity to serve in the role of a billing & collections officer for a client in 2023. She has experience in the use of Sage, QuickBooks, Oracle and Xero accounting software.
Anita is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and currently writing the professional tax exams of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG).
Rhoda is an associate of AOB & Associates. She started her career with this highly successful Company as a national service personnel and is currently a permanent staff. She has gained some experience in the accounting and audit field and is increasing in knowledge daily as she serves as an asset to the company.
Rhoda is a detail-oriented accountant and auditor with some experience in financial analysis, budgeting and financial reporting. She also has a strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
Rhoda holds a First Class Honors Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Ghana. She is also currently Chartering as a student with ACCA. She was recently awarded the Prizewinner for Advanced Performance Management (March sitting) in Ghana.
Nana Ama is an Associate at AOB & Associates with over three years of experience in banking operations and customer service, and two years in the oil and gas industry.
Nana Ama began her career in 2011 as a customer service personnel at Universal Merchant Bank (UMB). After graduating from UPSA in 2013, she completed her national service in 2014 at the Internal Audit Department of Ghana Oil Company (GOIL). In 2015, she worked on contract with ABSA Bank as an Operations Processor. From 2018, she served as a Manager at Puma Energy Company subsidiary (service station) in Accra for two years, where she was responsible for accounting for daily fuel sales and cash revenue, placing fuel orders, preparing weekly and monthly fuel statements, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and safety and environmental standards.
Nana Ama holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from the University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Accra.
Stephen Aboagye is an Associate in AOB and Associates. He has over 7 years of experience which cuts across different industries. He has experience in Sales, Public Relations, Auditing, Financial Reporting and Analysis.
Stephen started his career as a Sales Assistant in Vodafone Ghana in 2012 where he was involved in the sale of Vodafone sim cards, and porting of sim. He worked with Solid Multimedia (Footprint TV) as a Media Crew Member and Public Relations Officer where he was involved in organizing, advertising, promoting, and branding of events in 2015. Following his graduation from University of Education in 2018, he worked with Ghana Cocoa Board – Quality Control Company as a National Service Person in the Audit department as an Audit Assistant. After his national service, he joined Airport city Forex Bureau Ltd in 2021 as a Cashier and later as an Accounts Officer.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Education, and a Diploma in Business Administration and Strategic Management.
Justice Addae Nuamah is a skilled young finance professional with a robust background in financial reporting, auditing, and data analysis. His expertise includes supporting business operations through meticulous coordination and strong analytical skills. Prior to his current role at AOB & Associates, he gained valuable experience at the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute. There, he managed expense recording and categorization, prepared detailed financial reports, conducted audits, analysed financial data, and provided strategic recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
Justice holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration with a specialization in Accounting from the University of Ghana. Additionally, he has a Certificate of Higher Education in Elementary French and Chinese from the Ghana Institute of Languages.
